Computer Aided Drafting

This 3-credits course is designed to provide a practical knowledge of computer aided drafting in Engineering. AutoCAD software is used as a training tool. Different types of examples are given to students to practice, such as geometric drawings, mechanical drawings, and architectural drawings. Emphases are placed on knowing the drawing commands, modifying commands, viewing commands, and system variables as well as how to apply them integrally. Upon completion of this course, students are able to prepare both mechanical drawings and building construction drawings including putting notes and symbols in an efficient way.
